About the Department:

Marketing, Student Recruitment and Admissions (MSRA) delivers a professional and responsive service to the University to ensure that student number targets are met by recruiting and admitting well-qualified applicants. This includes development and delivery of exciting marketing campaigns to communicate the values of SOAS and the benefits of studying here, and in-person recruitment across UK, EU and International markets to programmes delivered on-campus, via distance and online learning, and through our partnerships overseas.

The Marketing, Student Recruitment and Admissions team will work particularly closely with central professional services including, Partnerships, Registry, Student and Academic Services, IT, Legal and Governance, Estates and all the Academic Departments.

About the Role

The purpose of this role is to deliver student recruitment activities to an agreed market plan for the UK. The role holders will deliver a range of activities in schools and colleges, developing relationships with stakeholders such as teachers and careers advisors.

The role holder will be required to undertake regular travel in London and the surrounding areas, but also nationally for larger exhibitions. It is expected that the role holder will attend on average three events per week, but this may vary depending on demand during the year.

With a detailed understanding of the University’ academic portfolio and departmental targets, the role holder will represent SOAS at events and exhibitions across the UK. This will include support of the University’s widening access and participation strategy.
