The Research and Knowledge Exchange Directorate manages the whole lifecycle of research and knowledge exchange activities at SOAS, from supporting researchers applying for funding to generating research impact and commercialising new knowledge. It is an exciting time to join the SOAS Research and Knowledge Exchange Directorate as SOAS’ and play a key role in delivering the Vision and Strategy and contributing to the realisation of ambitious income targets.

About the Role

As a Research and Knowledge Exchange Development Officer, you will provide proactive professional support and guidance in the planning, costing, development and delivery of research and knowledge exchange through externally funded projects and activities. You will facilitate the preparation of research proposals and take the lead on the development of multi-partner, interdisciplinary research collaborations with UK and international funders, proactively liaising with other HEIs and external partners and building SOAS’s capacity to lead and deliver timely, high-quality projects. Working with colleagues within the directorate and across SOAS, you will play a key role in strategy development and engagement to increase external research and knowledge exchange income through collaborative research, contract research, and other projects of strategic value.
