Our principal financial software is Agresso Business World (Unit4), this plays a central role in supporting our financial activities. 
 

About the Role 

This is a newly created position within the team, and a unique opportunity for the perfect candidate to shape the role and lead an established team with a wealth of experience and knowledge. 

Our Financial Accounting Manager will take ownership of the School’s external financial reporting, VAT and corporation tax affairs, and treasury management. You’ll work closely with various teams, including Financial Systems, Operations, and Finance Business Partnering. As a hands-on role, this is perfect for someone with experience of preparing year-end financial statements, collaborating with auditors, and utilising financial systems for data analysis. You will also coordinate the financial administration of all capital projects and monitor and report on expenditure against budget 
 

About You 

  • You’ll be a qualified accountant with experience in the preparation of year-end financial statements and working with auditors.  
  • Strong knowledge of current accounting standards and VAT legislation. 
  • Skilled in financial analysis and reporting: You can easily extract, analyse, and present financial data to support decision-making. 
  • Experienced with complex financial systems and software: You're comfortable navigating sophisticated financial tools.
