About the Department:

The Student Advice & Wellbeing team sits within the Student Academic Services directorate. The department is comprised of a number of specialists across various areas and is where our Multi-Faith Chaplaincy team are based. Student Advice & Wellbeing are often the first port of call for students in need of mental health support, disability support, immigration & finance advice, accommodation allocation and multi-faith support.

About the Role

The Multi Faith Coordinator looks after and directs a team of chaplains delivering faith-based support, spiritual awareness and activities to the SOAS community. The team provide 1:1 pastoral support to students and staff, run group workshops, run events during faith based celebrations as well as work closely with the wider Student Advice & Wellbeing team to ensure that students are looked after well and are linked in with other relevant support services where necessary. The post holder will guide activities and will support chaplains in the undertaking of their ministries at SOAS as well as undertaking line management duties and looking to expand the reach of the team. They will contribute to the work of the Student Advice & Wellbeing department alongside galvanising and developing the Multi Faith Chaplaincy team and service.
