About the Role

The Advancement Operations Officer supports the Advancement Services Lead to deliver and continuously improve SOAS’s fundraising and alumni data operations, with a particular focus on philanthropic gift administration and CRM (Raiser’s Edge) management. This specialist role ensures that gifts are processed accurately and promptly, that data is maintained to the highest standard, and that colleagues have access to robust, insightful reporting.

The post holder will lead on gifts reporting and analysis, support data integrity projects, and contribute to the enhancement of systems, processes and dashboards that drive the Advancement team’s strategic objectives. They will work with the Finance Office, the Scholarships Team and other relevant departments across the School and will assist the Advancement Services Lead in divisional compliance with relevant legislation and School policy.

We are a creative and committed Advancement team with a strong track record of increasing philanthropic income year on year and engaging alumni and supporters around the world.

Advancement plays a central role in delivering SOAS’s strategic objectives, working closely with the SOAS Director and senior stakeholders. Advancement Services underpins this work by providing high quality data, systems and insight that enable effective fundraising, alumni engagement and evidence-based decision making. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting this work.
